What is the vision of the school?
It is our view that all children can excel at learning and that academic
distinction can be achieved through inspired leadership and collaborative
efforts that heavily involve the student’s interests and natural curiosities.

What is a Charter School?
Charter schools are public schools of choice. They must meet or exceed all
state & district requirements but are allowed more options in their
curriculum, scheduling, and structure.
How much is the tuition?
Charter schools are tuition-free. They are funded through the state and rely
heavily on private and foundation grants to develop school programs.
We also rely heavily on parent donations.
Does the school provide meals?
We currently have pizza day once a week where students can order a meal of
pizza, fruit, and juice, but otherwise we do not provide meals at this time.
Does the school provide busing or other transportation?
Not at this time.
Who can attend?
As a public school, City View Charter School is open to all students in the
appropriate grade levels. During enrollment, priority is given to students
with siblings already enrolled and then to students living in the Hillsboro
School District.
Do I have to live in the Hillsboro School District to enroll my child?
No, students from any school district may attend City View. During
enrollment, however, priority is given to students within the Hillsboro
School District.
How can I enroll my child?
To enroll you will need to fill out a
Letter of Interest and submit it to
the school. You can download one off this website
or pick one up at the school office.
Where is the school located?
The main school office is located at 1771 SE Minter Bridge Rd., near the Sunset Esplanade
Shopping Center in Hillsboro. Grades K-3 will attend at the Minter
Bridge location. Because we have been growing rapidly, grades 4-8 will
be at Alliance Bible, located at 4174 SE Bentley Rd.
What is Expeditionary Learning?
Expeditionary Learning is an educational approach based on teaching children
through long-term, in-depth projects. It also emphasizes moral values and
working together as a cohesive class & school unit.

City View Charter School has a great sense of community and we would love to
