Urban Structures in Seattle
Hello! My name is Hillary Barraza.
This is my second year teaching at City View
Charter School. I taught fourth grade last year with a fantastic
expedition about Urban Structures, and decided that I loved and adored my
class so much that I wanted to move up and teach fifth grade. I love
working at City View because I get to teach my students meaningful
information, and I get to know them and their families because of the small
size of my classroom.
Before working at City View Charter School, I
was a substitute teacher in Hillsboro, and I taught
pre-school after
graduating from college. I am originally from a small community in
central Oregon called Crooked River Ranch, and moved over to this side of
the mountain when I went to Western Oregon University.
Aside from
planning my upcoming wedding with my amazing fiancé, I enjoy running,
lifting
weights, traveling, camping, reading, shopping, drinking Starbucks,
and playing with my nieces.
I am looking forward to a very exciting
year with the two expeditions I am in the process of planning right now.
