Step 2: Acceptance

Parents of the students accepted at each enrollment phase, with or without a lottery, must sign a Notification Letter to accept the space.

The Student Enrollment / Registration Packet contains:

        1.  Notification Letter (mailed only if not present at Enrollment Night)
        2.  3-page Student Registration Form
        3.  Oregon Certificate of Immunization Status form
        4.  Getting to Know Your Child and Family Questionnaire
        5.  School community asset map survey
        6.  Copy of Birth Certificate

Student registration packets are due within 14 days from the date of the enrollment phase that the student was accepted.

Pre-registered students that are accepted but not present at the meeting will be notified by phone that there is space for enrollment, and acceptance can be noted via phone on the Notification Letter.  Once the family has been contacted by phone, the Notification Letter and Registration Forms will be mailed to the parents to be returned within 14 days from date mailed out.  If the family is not reachable via phone within 4 days, their space will be given to the next student on the waiting list a phone log will be kept to document efforts to contact the family.

Students enrolled at each phase whose registration forms are not returned within 14 days will lose their spots, and the space will be given to the next student on the waiting list.  The family will be notified by phone prior to the loss of enrollment status and a copy of the Notification Letter confirming enrollment status will be sent by mail.  Extra time can be given as long as school is contacted about an anticipated or foreseeable delay.

Lottery
If there are more applications then spaces available for each grade level a lottery will take place.  The lottery will be held at the end of each open enrollment phase as indicated in the Enrollment Schedule.  Lottery preference will go as follows, in accordance with Charter School Law:
